Montgomery County Green Bank and Inclusive Prosperity Capital partnered to finance a rooftop solar project at Seneca Village, a 684-unit affordable housing complex in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The project is projected to generate more than $300,000 in annual savings, reduce energy use by 2.58 million kWh, and avoid 2,000 metric tons of carbon emissions annually.

A predevelopment loan supports a 340-unit, 100% affordable housing development, with NYCEEC as the lead lender. The all-electric building is designed to Passive House standards with on-site solar, and its ground floor will house a performing-arts center run by the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance.

The Heights Geothermal District is Minnesota's first networked geothermal system, built in St. Paul. It will heat and cool roughly 1,000 housing units and 1 million square feet of light industrial space using aquifer thermal energy paired with solar and storage.

All Electric Affordable Housing to Lower Costs
The Loveland Housing Authority project, backed by the Collective Clean Energy Fund, is building 319 all-electric affordable housing units on 50 acres in Loveland, Colorado, for households earning 30-60% of the area median income. CCEF’s bridge loan helps the project go all-electric with solar plus heat pumps to save LHA about $300,000 upfront. Partners include Habitat for Humanity and Crossroads Church, which offers affordable daycare on-site.
